![]() The software used is called Mandelbulb 3D and is available for free, there are versions available for both Windows and Mac. Explore this previously unseen world of 3D fractals, where math, art, and science converge. The Mandelbulb - Discovered in 2009, the Mandelbulb is a three dimensional form of the Mandelbrot set. So I did some digging and have found out the software the people are using to generate these very cool looking 3D fractals. The last time I was playing with fractals they were two dimensional only, so it was quite a while ago and now they have evolved into the 3D space as well apparently. ![]() I've been using fractal images for the daily status reports of for some time, there are quite a few nice ones available on pixabay for free use and I figured I should dig a bit more into how they are actually being created.
